Eradicating poverty, hunger, and despair and
obtaining a life of dignity and security is a universal
aspiration. Recent
events challenge the global community to respond with innovative
and creative ways to realize the goals of human security in all
its aspects. The
Center for the Global South at American University invites you
to participate in a conference addressing these urgent issues.

The Savoy Suites-Georgetown

The convention rate is
$99.00/night. Simply identify yourself as a participant in

A
shuttle will be provided between the hotel and the conference site
at American University; once at 8:30 am from the hotel to the
conference site and once in the evening at 5:30 pm from the
conference site to the hotel. The hotel has a regular
shuttle to the Woodley Park metro (Red Line).
