Brock Brady, Co-Director

Prof. Brady teaches English Language Teaching III, Cultural Issues in the
ESL/EFL Classroom, Curriculum and Materials Design and other courses. His
research interests include cross-cultural discourse analysis, teaching
pronunciation, language assessment, and distance learning. He was a Director
on the Board of TESOL, Inc, from 2005-2008 and was the TESOL association's
representative to the United Nation's Non-Governmental Organization program
from 2006-2008. He is currently Chair-Elect of the Nonnative English Speaking
Teacher Interest Section of TESOL. Since 2006, he has been a State Department
ESL Specialist and maintains an ongoing relationship with the University
of Limpopo in South Africa and the Angolan National University. A former
Fulbright Scholar and Peace Corps Volunteer, Prof. Brady has taught in
Korea, France, Panama, Spain, and Togo, and the U.S. From 1993 to 1997,
he managed English Teaching Programs for the State Department in Burkina

Younghee Sheen,

Dr. Sheen received her PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of Nottingham
(UK). She holds an MA and EdM in Applied Linguistics from Teachers College, Columbia
University. Dr. Sheen teaches Second Language Acquisition, English Language
Teaching I & II, and Pedagogical Grammar. Her main research
interest is instructed second language acquisition, in particular, the role of
form-focused instruction and corrective feedback in language learning. She has
published a book chapter and several articles on these topics in Language
Teaching Research, Studies in Second Language Acquisition, Language
Learning, System, and TESOL Quarterly. She is a recipient
of, and co-principal investigator on, a 2007 TESOL International Research Foundation
Grant. She is currently working on a book about the role of corrective feedback
in second language acquisition. (Read
