Elementary Mathematical Models
COMPUTER MODULES
There are two collections of computer activities that have been developed to go with the Elementary Mathematical Models course. These activities operate under software called Mathwright. The collection that is most directly connected to the materials available here at the EMM Teacher's Page was developed by Angela Hare and Dan Kalman. That can be downloaded by going to Dan Kalman's web site where he has a page of Mathwright activities. That page also has a free version of the Mathwright Library Player software, necessary for using the activities. The free player is also available at the Mathwright Website. Once at that site, look for instructions on how to download the free Player.
This second collection of activities was developed by James White, the author of Mathwright. That collection is available at the Mathwright website, but it does not operate under the free version of the player. To use that set of activities, or any of the hundreds of other mathwright activities in the library, you must download the new Mathwright Library Player 2000. That is available if you join the Library, for which there is a nominal fee.
The White collection of modules is a set of laboratory explorations created by White for a course he taught out of EMM at California State University - Monterey Bay. Each module includes lab instructions for student use. At the Mathwright Library, this collection is called Precalculus Course (complete set). It can be found by title within the library site, or you can get there directly with this link: http://www.mathwright.com/book_pgs/book102.html
