Africa Data Dissemination Service -- ADDS -- US Geological Survey
ADDS provides 1 km. ground resolution AVHRR imagery for Angola.  This service includes free downloadable software for image interpretation, an online imagery index, basic maps and an increasing amount of agricultural production data.  Some 10-day averages of vegetation information (NDVI) are available from 1982 to the present.  ADDS includes regional and continent-wide imagery compilations.

ESA Gabon Station Oil Spill Detection
The ground "footprint" for the ERD-series and other synthetic aperture satellites in Gabon facilitates tracking oil spills and other shipping pollution. The best coverage includes the Gulf of Guinea and western coast of central Africa, including the Cabinda enclave of Angola. Waters off the coast of Angola can be observed regardless of weather.

Famine Early Warning System - FEWS
