In the wake of the French and Dutch votes on the European Constitution, there is a  debate taking place throughout Europe over Europe's future.  The United Kingdom, acting as President of the European Union, has called for a session of the European Council to take place in November to address this topic.  Minister Nicolai will share with us the Dutch vision of the future of Europe.  He will also be arriving immediately after the EU decision on the beginning of membership talks with Turkey and will share some of his impression of that decision.

A light lunch will be served.

If you wish to attend, Please RSVP to Jeanette Murphy at the Center for Transatlantic Relations by telephone at 202-663-5730 or by email at transatlanticRSVP@jhu.edu.  If you e-mail please put RSVP October 5 in the subject line.
