Event Detail: "European Union Simulation "

Date: May 21-22, 2006
Time:
Location: Greenberg House, Washington, DC
Sponsor: Maxwell European Union Center

Description:

The Simulation will be open only to graduate students.  Using a hypothetical scenario, the aim is to engage participants in an in-depth study of and thinking about present and potential concerns facing the European Union.  Participants will play the roles of national government representatives in the Council of the European Union.  The simulation scenario will revolve around a specific crisis with ramifications for the European Union’s broader social and security policies. Details of the scenario and necessary instructions will be sent out to registered participants.

We would like to gauge the interest of graduate students associated with your Center in participating in such an endeavor.  While travel costs will have to be covered by the participants, we will cover hotel and meals for the duration of the Simulation.

Could you let me know by Monday, December 5th if any students associated with your Center would be interested in participating and how many.  As soon as we have this information, we will follow up with more details.

For those of you who may have not received that message when it was first sent out (Nov 18) due to technical problems, please let us know by Friday, December 9th.
