Navy Reopens Yard to Visitors
Eagle Fans Can Attend Patriot League Showdown

WASHINGTON, DC -- The U.S. Naval Academy has announced that it has reopened its visitors policy for scheduled events. American soccer fans will now be able to attend the Patriot League showdown between the Eagles and Midshipmen on Wednesday evening. The game will be the first-ever Patriot League game for the men's soccer program.

Gametime is set for 7:00 p.m. at Navy's Glen Warner Soccer Facility.

Rules governing access to the Naval Academy have been modified:

Vehicles will be subject to search. Visitors must have a valid USNA, DoD, or other form of picture ID.

Vehicles without valid DoD stickers must enter through gate 1.

Members of the general public will be allowed on the Naval Academy for regularly scheduled USNA events. Visitors must have a valid USNA, DoD, or other form of picture ID.

General Visiting for tourists to the Naval Academy will be permitted between the hours of 9 and 5. Information about public guided walking tours of the Academy can be found at www.navyonline.com or by calling 410-263-6933.

Vehicle gate hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. for gates 1 & 3, and 24-hours for gate 8.

Pedestrian gate hours for gates 1 & 3 are 6 a.m. until midnight on weekdays and Sunday, and until 1 a.m. on Saturdays.

Random ID checks and vehicle/personnel searches will be conducted at the gates and throughout the Yard, at any time.

Commercial deliveries must be scheduled through Perry Center. All vehicles will be inspected.
