WASHINGTON
-- American University’s men’s soccer team placed six student-athletes
on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll as announced by the league office
today. Senior Jeff Kinney (Fairfax,

To be eligible for
the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point
average (GPA) in the fall semester and be awarded a varsity letter in
one of the seven league-sponsored fall championship sports. A total of
510 student-athletes were named to the fall Academic Honor Roll.
Kinney earned a 3.32 GPA last semester while majoring in physics. Three
of Kinney’s classmates joined him on the Academic Honor Roll. Seniors
Kris Kuykendall (Fairfax,
Va./Madison) and Larry McDonald
(Waddel Village, Trinidad/Presentation) joined Kinney in earning Academic
Honor Roll recognition for the second consecutive year. McDonald posted
the highest GPA on the team last semester, earning a 3.82 in computer
information systems.
