Four Eagles Earn Patriot League Men’s Tennis Titles

Bence Hamori captured the Patriot League Flight One Singles title on Oct. 14 at Lehigh University.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Four Eagles earned Patriot League singles titles on Saturday and Sunday at the Patriot League Individual Tournament at Lehigh University, with senior Bence Hamori (Budapest, Hungary/Budapest U. of Physical Ed.) highlighting the event by claiming the No. 1 singles title.

Hamori defeated Arnaldo Alboronaz of Army, 7-5, 6-3, to earn the victory in American’s debut as a member of the Patriot League.

Senior Josh Procacci (Naples, Fla./Community School of Naples) took the Third Singles Flight title with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Navy’s Chris McGrath and Guillaume Taralle (Paris, France/French International School [Md.]) defeated Ryan Osgood of Navy, 6-7, 6-1, 6-1, in the No. 4 singles championship match.

Rounding out the American championship contingent was junior Andreas Kulcsar (Nuremberg, Germany/Neues Gym. Nuremberg) who beat Army’s Sebastian Salas 6-3, 7-5.
