Men's Tennis Cruises to First Patriot League Win
Eagles take 6-1 decision over Colgate

Senior co-captain Kyle Bailey was a double winner against Colgate, nabbing the No. 5 singles win and a No. 2 doubles victory.

HAMILTON, N.Y. -- The American men's tennis team claimed its first-ever Patriot League victory by easily handling Colgate, 6-1, on Sunday.

The Eagles improved to 4-1 this spring and a 1-0 start in league play while the Crusaders fell to 5-4 overall and 0-1 in the Patriot League.

Seniors Bence Hamori was a double winner with a hard-fought 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 win over Reed Hagmann in the No. 1 singles match, as well as a victory in No. 2 doubles with classmate and co-captain Kyle Bailey. Bailey was also a double winner on the day, racking up a victory in No. 5 singles.

The Eagles return to Washington, D.C., to host their first home match of the season on Friday at 2:30 p.m. against former Colonial Athletic Association rival Richmond.
