Tennis Notches Second Straight Win February 2, 2002
COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The Eagles followed up a 4-2 season opening victory over George Washington on Friday with a 5-2 win at the University of Maryland on Saturday. After dropping the first set to Haris Causevic, Bence Hamori came back to capture the 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 win in No. 1 singles. In another tight match, No. 2 seed Josh Procacci dug out a 6-4, 7-5 win over Chris Chiu while teammate Tushar Garg had an easier time at No. 3 singles with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Jon Murchison. The Eagles (2-0) captured the doubles point, taking two of three matches. Hamori and Garg hooked up in the No. 2 doubles match, beating David Reichsefeld and Troy Demers, 8-2. Procacci and Juan Jaysingh defeated Chiu and Chambers, 8-3, to seal the Terrapins (0-1) fate. Singles Matches
