WASHINGTON -- After capturing the doubles point, the American University men's tennis team took five of six singles matches against Georgetown for a 6-1 win Wednesday afternoon at Reeves Courts.

The Eagles improve to 6-1 on the year and will host UMBC Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.

Tushar Garg earned his first win at No. 1 this spring with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Marc Lohser as Guillaume Tarralle recorded a win at No. 2 over Troy Crichlow, 6-3, 6-1. Freshman Juancarlo Vazquez was strong in a 6-3, 6-1 decision over GU's Chris Beleviev at No. 3 singles. Junior Juan Jaysingh blanked Ryan Peisez in the first set, 6-0, before capping the match with 6-3 final. Senior Jonah Fliegelman earned the final point at No. 5 with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Ryan Peisez.

In doubles action, Fliegelman and Vazquez teamed up for an 8-2 win over Kindler and Mihalick. Tarralle and Jaysingh finalized the point with an 8-2 victory over Beleviev and Eric Conrad.
