AU Men’s Tennis Sweeps Local Rival Howard
Eagles sweep singles competition to take 7-0 victory

Juan Jaysingh won at third singles 6-2, 6-2 and teamed with Josh Procacci to win at #3 doubles 8-2 against Howard.

WASHINGTON — American swept all six singles matches en route to a 7-0 win over local foe Howard on Friday. Josh Procacci (Naples, Fla./Community School of Naples), Juan Jaysingh (Rockville, Md./Georgetown Prep) and Tushar Garg (Mumbai, India/Bradenton Academy [Fla.]) each earned victories in both singles and doubles competition to help the Eagles improve to 6-1 on the season.

Procacci notched a 6-1, 6-2 win over Dwayne Pagon in the No. 2 singles match and teamed with Jaysingh in No. 3 doubles for an 8-2 win over Jamal Ahmed and Andre Taylor. Jaysingh picked up a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Jibade Thomas in No. 3 singles while Garg earned wins in both No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles with teammate Andres Kulcsar (Nuremberg, Germay/Neues Gym. Nuremberg).

The Eagles take a week off before heading to Bucknell on March 15 for their second Patriot League match of the season.
