Men's Tennis Moves to 10-1 On the Season
Eagles top James Madison, 7-0

Guillaume Tarralle did not drop a game in either his singles or doubles matches against James Madison.

WASHINGTON — American University's men's tennis team continued its winning ways Saturday with a 7-0 victory over former CAA foe James Madison. The Eagles dominated the Dukes, dropping just one set in the entire match. American, who is currently ranked No. 67 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), moves to 10-1 on the season (2-0 in Patriot League play).

Guillaume Tarralle led the charge for American, winning both his singles and doubles match without dropping a game. He won at No. 6 singles 6-0, 6-0 over Clint Morse. At No. 3 doubles, Tarralle teamed with Jonah Fliegelman to defeat Morse and Craig Anderson 8-0.

Seniors Bence Hamori and Josh Procacci continued to lead the way at No. 1 and No. 2 singles. Hamori won 6-3, 7-5 over Andrew Lux. Procacci had to work a little harder, winning the first set 6-2 before dropping the second set 2-6. He came back to win the third set by the same score as the first, 6-2. Hamori and Procacci also teamed up in doubles play, winning 8-2 at first doubles.

Sophomore Tushar Garg won his sixth straight singles match, topping Bryan Knehr 6-1, 6-3. Garg played with Andreas Kulcsar at No. 2doubles as the pairing remained perfect in the spring with an 8-6 victory. Juan Jaysingh took No. 4 singles in impressive fashion, winning 6-0, 6-1. Also winning for American was senior Kyle Bailey at No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-2.

The Eagles return to action on April 2 at Georgetown and then come back to the friendly confines of Reeves Courts for an April 4 showdown with Virginia.
