Baltimore, Md. — After losing to a pair of top-ranked teams, the American University Eagles clinched a 3-0 victory over Morgan State Wednesday night by scores of 30-21, 30-27, 30-23.
Junior outside hitter Karla Kucerkova had game-highs of 13 kills and nine digs complete with four service aces. Sophomore Cathy Fluegeman and senior Judit Szekelyhidi each chipped in with nine kills and four digs apiece.
Sophomore Courtney Mulford paced the offense with 26 assists for the Eagles.
In the first game, American had a hitting percentage of over .500 as the Bears hit .227 on the night.
Morgan State's Tiffanie Sebree had 29 assists for the 1-10 squad.
