No. 9 Penn State Powers Past Yale in AVBC Consolation
Tortorello dishes out 45 assists for Nittany Lions

WASHINGTON — In one hour and five minutes the No. 9
Penn State women's volleyball team handily defeated Yale 3-0 in the consolation match of the American Volleyball Classic Sunday morning at American University's Bender Arena by scores of 30-15, 30-17, 30-13.

The Nittany Lions hit .511 while the Bulldogs had a .044 hitting percentage. PSU doubled Yale's kill total of 26 with 54 and had 22 blocks.

Mishka Levy and Robyn Guokas combined for 26 kills while setter Sam Tortorello had 45 assists and 11 digs for the Nittany Lions.

For Yale, Jacqueline Becker had 22 assists and Jessica Kronstadt produced 10 digs.
