Kucerkova Breaks Most Kills Per Game Record
Eagles sweep Lehigh, 3-0

Karla Kucerkova had 27 kills in three games against Lehigh.

BETHLEHEM, Pa.- Senior Karla Kucerkova (Olomouc, Czech Republic/Brno) was able to break the AU record for Most Kills Per Game as she totaled 27 kills in three games as the Eagles took on the Lehigh Mountain Hawks. The previous record was held by Lea Windlin at 5.33, since 1991.

Throughout this season, Kucerkova has continually led the team and the league in kills (359). Also, with 1526 career kills, she is in reach of breaking the decade old school record for career kills, which is currently held by Natasha Sylvain at 1660.

Against Lehigh, Kucerkova was able to lead the Eagles to an impressive Patriot League victory, sweeping the match 3-0 (30-24, 30-24, 30-24). American continues to be undefeated in Patriot League play (6-0), and 12-8 overall.

Erin Allagair (Kalamazoo, Mich./Kalamazoo), who was honored this week as the Baden Player of the Week contributed to the match with 9 kills, while teammate Natasha Cornaz (Lausanne, Switzerland/Gymnase Auguste Piccard) also had 9 kills for the night.

The Eagles will continue on their path to another Patriot League championship as they next take Lafayette October 24 at 7 p.m.
