Coach King enters her first season as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach with the Eagles after spending two years at St. Mary’s College. Prior to joining the Seahawks staff King spent one year at Tuskegee University and five years coaching Menchville High School where she guided the team to two State Championship appearances, three regional championship appearances and two Peninsula District Championships.

A four-year starter at William Penn College and member of three state, regional and AIAW Tournament teams that made two Final Four apperances. King was a three-time All-Region (1979, 1980, and 1981) and First Team All-American in 1981. A member of the 1981 AIAW Division II Championship team, King was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Final Four and invited to the 1980 Olympic tryouts in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She stands fourth on William Penn’s all-time scoring chart with 2, 017 points and is among leaders for steals and assists.

A double major in Biology and Physical Education with a minor in Coaching, King received her degree from William Penn College in 1981. She then went to on to obtain a Master’s of Education at the College of William & Mary in 1991. Coach King currently resides in St. Mary’s, Maryland.
