Brian Johnson enters
his second season with the American women's basketball program after one
year as an assistant at Morgan St. University and two years at Towson
University.
At both Morgan St. and Towson, Johnson's responsibilities included recruiting,
game scouting, film exchange, summer camps, court coaching and operation
duties. He also spent one summer working with the New York Liberty of
the WNBA as Assistant Video Coordinator/Advance Scouting Coordinator.
Johnson continues to be an advance scout for the Liberty.
A 1998 graduate of Drexel University, Johnson majored in film and video
production while serving as Team Manager of the men's program for two
years. Upon graduation, he provided operations assistance for the Drexel
men's program as a Graduate/Administrative Assistant while coaching in
the Sonny Hill Community Basketball League.
A D.C. native, Johnson has worked at various high school and collegiate
basketball camps and has completed internships with FOX-WTFX and NBC in
the Philadelphia area.
