Diplomats Defeat AU Wrestling, 28-9
Eagles to host Maryland during final homestand on Feb. 12

Junior Jared Hyman was one of three AU winners against the Diplomats Saturday night.

LANCASTER, Pa. -- The American University saw its two-match winning streak snapped Saturday night with a 28-9 loss to Franklin & Marshall.

Three Eagles claimed victory including freshman Tom Kniezewski (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown), who defeated F&M's Matt McConnell, 11-10 in the 141-lbs. class. At the 165-lbs. bout, AU junior Aaron Baker (Amarillo, Texas/Tascosa) knocked off Matt Veres, 9-2. The final American win came at the heavyweight draw where Jared Hyman (Norcross, Ga./Norcross) defeated Cornelius George, 4-3.

The Eagles will host their final home match of the 2002-03 season on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Bender Arena.
