Wins Respective Weight Class at W. Virginia Open
AU wrestling looks promising upcoming
season

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.- Junior Daniel Waters (Laurel, Del./Junipero Serra) became the first wrestler in AU history take home the title and win in his respective weight class at the West Virginia Open.
Waters and three of his teammates took the trip to Morgantown with the goal of gathering valuable experience and challenging themselves with tough competition. Waters took home the title in the 184 weight class, while freshman Dwayne Hash-Barberis (Rome, N.Y./Scotia Glenville) was able to go 1-2 in the 165 division.
Junior Adam Montgomery (Belmont, Calif./Junipero Serra) also competed for the Eagles, going 0-2 in the 174 weight class.
The Eagles will next
face Binghamton on Nov. 14-15.
