Eagles Fall to Lehigh 38-9 at Sheridan Duals
AU takes home three individual wins

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The AU wrestling team fell to EIWA foe Lehigh, 38-9 in the first match of the day at the Sheridan Duals.

For the Eagles, Dainel Lobsenz (Fairfield, Conn./Choate) defeated Mark McCauley in the 141 weight class. Lobsenz executed a takedown with just 10 seconds left on the clock in the third period to take the victory 3-2. Tom Kniezewski (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown) defeated 11-9 in an overtime victory over Lehigh’s Tommy Rohn in 149. Also taking home a victory for the Eagles, Daniel Waters (Laurel, Del./Penn State) defeated Dave Helfrich, 3-2 in the 184 weight class.

Matt Pelligrino (Manalapan, N.J./Freehold) fell to Mario Stuart 20-3 at 6:44 by a tech fall, while Ben Lamson (Kalamazoo, Mich./Kalamazoo Central) was pinned by Matt Ciasulli in just 1:13. Adam Montgomery (Belmont, Calif./Junípero Serra) also fell for the Eagles, after being taken bown by Matt Cassidy in the 197 weight class.
