As a co-captain and
one of three seniors on this years squad, Coach Puzio expects Harris
to have a dominant year in 2001-2002.
2000-2001: Harris finished with the fourth highest record on the team
at 11-5 overall (7-4 duals) ... moved to 47-36 in his AU career ... placed
3rd at the CAA Championships.
1999-2000: Made an impressive showing in his sophomore season ...
compiled a 14-7 record at 125 ... though hampered by knee injuries, he
posted an 8-3 overall record in duals and placed third at the AU Congressional
Cup as well as fourth in the Sunshine Open.
1998-1999: Posted a 20-15 overall freshman record (9-4 duals) ...
placed fourth at 125 at the CAA Championships ... also placed in the Keystone
Classic (5th) and the AU Congressional Cup (4th) ... went undefeated in
CAA regular season dual meet action.
High School: Harris is a former local high school wrestler of the
year who competed for DeMatha High School in D.C. ... a national high
school All-American, he placed third in the national tournament ... posted
a prolific high school career ... won the National Prep Tournament as
a senior ... three-time Maryland state champion ... two-time Washington
Post All-Met selection and its 1998 Wrestler of the Year ... three-time
Prince Georges All-County selection and 1998 County Wrestler of
the Year ... member of Southern Maryland Wrestling Club Hall of Fame.
