Rodovsky Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week
Scored a goal and assist in AU win

Oct. 7, 2002

WASHINGTON - American University’s Natalie Rodovsky (Chappaqua, N.Y./Horace Greeley) earned Women’s Soccer Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors for the week of Oct. 7 after scoring her second goal of the season against Colgate. Rodovsky later assisted on the game-winner as the Eagles defeated the Raiders by a goal, 3-2.

Rodovsky, a defender for AU, tied the game at one apiece early in the first half (8:32). The game-winner for the Eagles came in the 67th minute and was scored by Anabel Jimenez (Kensington, Md./Bullis), off of the Rodovsky pass. The three points she earned gave her her first multi-point game as a collegian.
The win over Colgate snapped a three-game losing streak for the Eagles and left AU with a 4-6-1 overall record and a 1-1-0 Patriot League record.
AU travels to Lafayette Friday for a third straight Patriot League contest. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
