Former University of Maryland standout Natalie Scavo begins her fourth year as a member of Head Coach Mike Brady’s staff. She is responsible for assisting in the direction of the overall program, including student-athlete recruitment, training session preparation and implementation and pre- and post-season conditioning workouts.
Scavo has been instrumental in bringing some of the best recruiting classes in the program’s history to American.


Scavo came to American after spending the 1999 campaign as a graduate assistant at Florida State University. Prior to her tenure at Florida State, she served as an assistant coach at Towson University during the 1998 season. While at Towson, she aided in the Tigers’ recruiting efforts, while overseeing several on-field duties.


A 1997 graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in kinesiological sciences, Scavo was a four-year standout for the Terrapin women’s soccer team and served as a co-captain during her senior year. As a sophomore, she was also a member of the varsity tennis team.


Scavo currently holds her Class “C” coaching license from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).
