- Stats American had five of the top nine finishers in the race. Junior Pat MacAdie (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxboro Regional) finished third in a time of 25:16.77, which eclipsed his previous best time of 26:26.40. Sophomore Phil Gaeta (Herndon, Va./Oakton) was sixth in a time of 25:41.66. Junior Danny Maurer (St. Louis, Mo./John Burroughs/Furman) finished eighth in a time of 25:45.03 while junior Sean Duffy (Holmes, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) was ninth in a time of 25:45.90. Duffy's personal-best time prior to today's event was 26:23.80. Other Eagles who competed were sophomore William Knox (Baltimore, Md./Dunbar) and freshman Rob Hofmann. Knox finished 18th in a time of 26:22.93 while Hofmann was 38th in a time of 28:12.98. The individual title in the 8000m was the first for Seymour American returns to action next weekend at the at George Washington Invitational held in Manassas, Va.
