School of International Service LoungeSCHOOL OF INTERNATIONAL SERVICE

SIS is the largest and one of the most influential schools of its type in the nation.

Graduates of the school include heads of state, diplomats, government officials, leaders of nongovernmental organizations—all people who were inspired by their SIS education to dedicate their lives to public service. Since the school's inception, each of its 13,000 alumni has taken courses in the same building the school uses today.

Through AnewAU, the university plans to build a new 80,000-square-foot home for the school. The facility's design will reflect the responsible and equitable use of resources, in terms of both building materials and energy consumption. The architects, William McDonough and Partners, and Quinn Evans, will use ingenuity and technology to make sure the building exists in harmony with its environment.
