Electronic Commerce

            All the major large companies (public, semi-public, and private), have some type of e-commerce in place. This include EDI, extranets and online commerce.  No information was available on the extent that e-commerce is used in Qatar.  Virtually none of the companies currently operating in Qatar are using online commerce as a sales tools but this should change in the future.  There is a strong corporate web presence, but is limited to advertising and information dispersion.

 

            The most interesting e-commerce site in Qatar is KFC Qatar, which offers online ordering and delivery or carry out.
