                                     Software Manufacturing

             Qatar has no real sotware industry. It imports all of its software needs from Asia, Europe and the United States. Some companies are now offering web site consulting and IBM, HP, Microsoft has a strong presence in the Middle East to offer software and e-commerce solutions. A major issue is software piracy.  Qatar has a large underground market for illegal software.
