About the Authors

Anne Theodore Briggs is a joint-degree J.D./M.B.A. candidate at American University.  She received her law degree from the Washington College of Law in May 2001 and will receive her M.B.A. degree from the Kogod School of Business in December 2001.  The focus of her education has been on intellectual property law and e-business.  Anne also holds a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Utah and is very familiar with issues important to the science and technology industries.  While a student at the Kogod School of Business, Anne participated on a student team conducting primary market research for a technology park to be developed on the island of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands.  This report provided background information for the research.  Anne can be reached by e-mail at abriggs@switchboard.net.

 

Stephen Watt is a M.B.A. candidate at American Univeristy.  He is pursuing a dual major in Marketing and Management of Global Information Technology (MoGIT) at the Kogod School of Business.  His undergraduate degree is also from American University where he majored in an interdisciplinary program in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government (CLEG) of the School of Public Affairs. Steve is a citizen of the Seneca Nation of Indians.
