Impacts of National Information Technology class

This course is a second year MBA class taught as part of the Management of Global Information Technology (MoGIT) curriculum of the Kogod School of Business at American University in Washington, D.C.  The course is designed for students to gain the ability to conduct a national IT assessment for a nation and analyze implications for the globally competing firm.

At the class inception we were asked to choose a country with personal connections because of the significant amount of research required for the website.  The country of El Salvador was chosen because of my mother's decendancy.  I have also had to the opportunity to visit the country most recently in the summer of 1998.  This brief exposure provided added value in determining the validity of information found on the Internet to construct this website.

Other Websites Constructed by the Author

As part of a core first year MBA class called Management Information Systems (MIS), students are required to create a fictitious store on the web.  My concept was a running store with physical stores in the Washington, D.C. area and it was creatively called D.C. Running Company.  Here is a link to the website DC Running Company Storefront.   I hope you enjoy it!
