About the Authors

AboutIndonesia  Martin Hutagalung was born in the capital city of Indonesia, Jakarta, on March 13, 1975.  He first came to the United States after finishing high-school in 1993 to study at The George Washington University.  He received his BBA with a major in International Business from GW.  Currently, Martin is enrolled full-time in the MBA program at the Kogod School of Business of the American University.  Majoring in Management of Global Information Technology, he hopes to work in the US for a few years before going back home to Indonesia.

Du Lieu was born in Saigon Vietnam, which now is named Ho Chi Min City.  He grew up in Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park with a degree in elementary education.  He worked a year as a certified sixth grade teacher and decided to exit the profession to find a new career in business.  He is currently a full-time MBA student at American University concentrating in marketing and MIS.  He plans to find a job in southern California after graduation.  You can contact Du at mrsteven@hotmail.com 

Martin and Du chose to research and analyze Indonesia because Indonesia is a huge country with great  potential to become a major player in the telecommunications industry.  In addition, as an Indonesian native, Martin wants to learn more about the information technology infrastructure in Indonesia so that someday he would be able to actively participate in its development.
