Dear Prospective Student:

Thank you for your interest in the Tropical Marine Biology Course being offered at the Gerace Research Center (formerly the Bahamian Field Station) on San Salvador Island, Bahamas, from May 22nd to June 6th, 2002.

Enclosed you will find a description and daily outline of activities for the course, also, information describing San Salvador, the Field Station, transportation arrangements between Florida and the island, and a packet from the University of South Carolina in case you wish to receive academic credit.

The fee for the course is $1,525.00, which covers tuition, room and board, insurance, and round trip airfare and all taxes between Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and San Salvador, Bahamas. More details can be found in the enclosed literature. If you wish credit from The University of South Carolina there is an additional fee (see enclosed packet). Alternatively, credit can be arranged between your university and Dr. Smith.

To register for the course the following procedures must be followed:

1. Complete the enclosed registration form and mail it along with a check made payable to the Bahamian Field Station for a $100.00 non-refundable deposit to the Bahamian Field Station, C/O Twin Air, 1100 Lee Wagener Blvd., Suite 113, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33315, no later than April 1, 2002.

2. Complete the enclosed Travel Information Form, Health Status Form, and Student Contract Form and send these with a check made payable to the Bahamian Field Station for $1,425.00 to the above address no later than May 1, 2002.

3. Meet the chartered aircraft at Twin Air Company at the Jet Center of Ft. Lauderdale International Airport at 6.30am on May 22, 2002.
