Minor in Economics
The Minor in Economics allows students to establish an area of
concentration in economics, but requires many fewer courses than
a major.
Although the Department of Economics requires only 18 credit hours
to complete the Minor in Economics, students should consider going
beyond the requirements by enrolling in additional undergraduate
or graduate economics classes. Courses in accounting, computers,
mathematics, and statistics may also enhance degree programs in
economics.
Course Requirements
18 credit hours including:
- ECON-100 Macroeconomics
- ECON-200 Microeconomics
- ECON-300 Intermediate Microeconomics
- ECON-301 Intermediate Macroeconomics
- 6 additional credit hours in economics
at the 300 level or above (not including independent study,
Washington Semester courses, internships, or co-ops)
