The Critical Inquiry: Abstraction(s) colloquia from the Department of Art  presents: James Hyde.

James Hyde is a New York based artist. His work consists of large abstract pieces that combine drawing and sculpture. For some, he employs the technique of fresco onto thick slabs of styrofoam. He also uses large clots of paint with crumpled paper and silicone "to bulk up the painting."

Hyde has had countless solo and group exhibitions across the country and internationally.

Free and open to the public.
