JPD Partners

JPD aimes at raising awareness about and interest in a Journal that examines critical peacebuilding and development linkages. To ensure JPD maintains a strong added value for its readers, particular challenges have to be addressed which include:

  • Foregrounding Southern voices;
  • Linking debates to powerful cases on the ground;
  • Tackling the ‘politics of peace’ and not being afraid to critique policies head-on;
  • Linking policy, practice and academia;
  • Contributing to learning and reflection to go beyond academics talking to one another;
  • Providing alternative visions and policy choices.

JPD plans to meet these challenges through its production process and content and through other practical projects integrating peacebuilding and development research, training and action that will feed back into the Journal. Both university-based and practitioner institutions and networks who incorporate policy analysis, training and other forms of action into their work, and share these goals are welcome to join us as a partner in this endeavor. JPD remains globally oriented, committed to seeking out Southern experiences, methods, strategies, and lessons and facilitate South-South and South-North sharing.
