ATTENDING THE CEREMONIES

In keeping with D.C. Fire Code regulations, graduating students participating in the commencement ceremonies will be allowed seven guests; tickets are not required for admittance.

Students submit cap and gown rental orders beginning in mid-March via the my.american portal. (A postcard will provide details.) Students who order caps and gowns will receive additional information about assembly and line-up instructions for the day of their ceremony.

Faculty and staff do not need tickets or regalia to be admitted into the ceremony. Faculty wearing academic regalia are invited to process into Bender Arena with their school’s faculty.
