Why can't I change anything on my Blackboard site?

When you first approach your new course, you will need to turn on the Editing button on the far right from OFF to ON. This only has to be done once. After you turn editing ON in a course, the default condition will change to ON.

Where can I find a roster of my students?

The easiest way to view a roster of your students is through the Grade Center. Select Evaluation from the Control Panel Menu, then click Grade Center.

How do I add my Teaching Assistant to my Blackboard site?

You can add your TA the same way you can add a student to your blackboard course. From the Control Panel, select Users and Groups then click Users. On the next screen click the button Enroll User then select the option labled Find Users to Enroll.

add a TA step one

On the next screen click the Browse button and find your TA's user name. Once their username is entered, click the drop down box labled "Role" and select Teaching Assistant (the default should be set to"Student"). Click Submit to finish.

I got content onto my site, but how do I delete it?

A common problem in Blackboard 9 is figuring out how to manage your content without the buttons we saw in Blackboard 7. Instead of "Delete" and "Manage" buttons, Blackboard 9 uses a drop down menu indicated by two downward facing arrows.

Click the arrows beside the content you would like to edit, and a drop box will appear that lists all of your content management options. Click Delete, and your content will be removed.
