Canadian Election Study
See the National Post Elections Site, good coverage of provincial elections.
Political Parties  Links to federal and provincial parties as well as election officials and several boundary commissions.
The Liberal Party currently holds a narrow majority in the House of Commons, its second consecutive majority government.
The Reform Party currently is the leader of the opposition but has won no seats outside of its base in Western Canada.  See their United Alternative site for their proposal for the PC and Reform parties to join forces in the next election.
The Bloc québécois holds the most seats in Quebec and advocates sovereignty or separation for Quebec.
Progressive-Conservative Party was the last party other than the Liberals to form the government.  After winning repeated majorities in the 1980s, it was nearly wiped out in the 1993 elections.  Today, it is the fourth largest party in the House.
New Democratic Party was traditionally Canada's third largest party.  Although it has formed provincial governments, it never came close to forming the government at the federal level.  Like the PC, it has foundered since the 1993 elections.

Parti Quebecois is the major separatist party of Quebec.
Action Démocratique du Québec  Mario Dumont's party has one seat in the Quebec Parliament.
Parti libéral du Québec is the major federalist party in Quebec.
Bloc québécois was founded by Lucien Bouchard, now the Premier of Quebec, and is the separatist party in federal politics.
