Chris Van Allsburg
Chris Van Allsburg is an award winning illustrator for
children's Picture Storybooks.
He also writes all the material for his illustrations.
His books bring stories alive
and into the heads of readers. He has won two Caldecott
awards for Jumanji and
The Polar Express. His book Jumanji
about a board game whose characters
suddenly come to life was later turned into a movie.
