The AU graphics are available for official use only and are subject to the Web Guidelines.If you have any questions regarding the use of this page please contact Kevin Grasty, Director of University Publications (x5970).

For users that are developing pages to be housed on the main server (www.american.edu), simply copy the HTML text below the graphic you would like to use and paste it in your HTML code. This creates a link to the graphic archive, allowing you to have the latest, best version of every graphic.

For users that are developing pages that will be housed off of the main server, please copy the image you would like and save it in your directory, on your server. All graphics have been saved in a GIF format unless noted otherwise. Most of the graphics have a white background (with the exception of the navigational buttons), and should be used on a white background for best results. This can be done by adding the code: <BODY BGCOLOR="FFFFFF"> at the top of your HTML, just after the TITLE tag.

To copy a graphic (for pages not housed on the main server):

  • (PC) Right click on a graphic and the copy menu comes up. Choose from "Copy" or "Save As..." to download the image.

  • (Mac) Click on a graphic and hold until the copy menu comes up. Choose from "Copy" or "Save As..." to download the image.
