Monica Swinney

Monica Swinney came to CDEM while pursuing a Master's in Public Policy at American University with a focus on advanced policy analysis. She has a background in education and taught 4 th grade in the South Bronx. Additionally, Monica worked for the central office of D.C. Public Schools, liaising with various city agencies to ensure successful school openings and helping manage and address technology problems. Aside from working at CDEM, Monica also serves as a tutor at American University. She holds a B.A. in history from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota and is proficient in Spanish and French.
