Dr. Manana Gnolidze-Swanson

Dr. Manana Gnolidze-Swanson has previously worked as a Senior Research Fellow (1994-2006) at the Institute of Oriental Studies (Near and Middle East Department) within the Academy of Sciences of Georgia and as a Team Leader (1998-2003) for a World Bank Enterprise Restructuring and Management project in Tbilisi, Georgia. She was also a Visiting Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center's Kennan Institute for Advanced Russian Studies (1996) and a Post Graduate Research Fellow at the Center for Soviet & Post-Soviet Studies at the University of California Berkeley (sponsored by the U.S. State Department). Dr. Swanson did her graduate studies for an MA at the Mumbai University (India), received a Ph.D. in Oriental Studies from the Tbilisi State University and a Masters in Public Administration from the George Mason University.
