Alison Prevost

Project Manager, Center for Democracy and Election Management

Alison Prevost has been with CDEM since August 2007 and manages follow-up efforts from the Carter-Baker Commission on Federal Election Reform--supporting research in critical U.S. elections issues and monitoring national and local developments in election administration. She has particular knowledge of election administration at the local level, having served as a volunteer election judge in Montgomery County, Maryland since 2004. As part of her work at CDEM, Ms. Prevost has overseen a major research project on the impact of voter identification requirements and has spoken at numerous election-reform related events including a panel on voter ID at George Washington University Law School and a discussion of the next steps in election reform before the Elections and Redistricting Committee of the National Council of State Legislatures. Prior to joining CDEM, Ms. Prevost served as a legislative analyst for faith-based organizations on a broad range of domestic and international issues. She has a MTS in Theology and Social Ethics from Boston University and a BA in Religion from Furman University.
