Democracy and Elections in North America: What Can We Learn From Our Neighbors?

On November 14-15, 2003, the Center for Democracy and Election Management (CDEM) and the Center for North American Studies (CNAS) organized a conference to address the fact that within the North American community, all three nations can learn best practices in the administration of elections from one another. The conference was sponsored by United States Agency for International Development's Mexico Elections Project, Election Law Journal, Elections Canada, and Electoral Tribunal of Mexico.

In addition, the papers presented in the conference were published in the Election Law Journal's Winter 2004 issue. See the table of contents of that issue.
