Arturo Vargas
Arturo Vargas is the Executive Director of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) and the NALEO Educational Fund. Prior to joining NALEO, he was the Vice President for Community Education and Public Policy of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Mr. Vargas received Hispanic Magazine’s 1995 Hispanic Achievement Award for Community Service, the National Association of Bilingual Education’s 1999 President’s Award, and was recognized in Hispanic Business Magazine’s List of 100 Hispanic Influentials in 1996 and 1998.
