 Mana Zarinejad joined American University in April 2007 as the Assistant Director of Development in the Office of International Affairs. In this capacity, she serves as the development officer for the Center for North American Studies, the Center for Democracy and Election Management, and its affiliate, the Center for the Study of the American Electorate.
Ms. Zarinejad previously worked for the Challenger Center for Space Science Education, the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS), Friends of Chris Dodd (campaign), and the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI). Born in Tehran, Iran, Ms. Zarinejad was raised in Connecticut and later earned her B.A. in journalism and English at the University of Connecticut.
