Overview According to various resources, Jamaica has
about 40 ISP (Internet Service Provider) and several companies offering
different types of service at nominal fees.
The island’s ISPs have companies that offer hourly rates. When choosing an ISP, citizens have payment
options when they sign up. Given this
fact, many citizens in rural areas of Jamaica still do not have access to
computers. Jamaica is one of the
largest islands in the Caribbean, but only three percent of the population
connects to the internet . The country
of Jamaica does not publish thoroughly accurate facts about their internet diffusion , often the facts and
figures are not constant and may be inflated.

the internet is somewhat inconclusive and seems to vary depending on what you
read. In 2000, Jamaica had 0.36 when
it comes to connection to the internet.
In 2001 the research stated that Jamaica connection to the internet
was 0.38. But in a 2002 study it
