Teresa Brown and Margaret AnthonStudent Scholarship Recipients, Donors Meet at Annual Recognition Luncheon

Nearly 200 students, alumni, donors, and friends came together for the "Celebration of Scholarships" annual recognition luncheon on campus last week. The special event, now in its seventh year, allows student scholarship recipients and their donors (often alumni) who made the scholarships possible to meet one another – often for the first time.

This year’s luncheon featured remarks from Christina Arnold '04, recipient of the Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation Scholarship and the Lura Bradfield Foundation Scholarship, and a performance by soprano Velda Jones '04, recipient of the David W. Wainhouse Memorial Scholarship and the Nicholas Vrenios Memorial Scholarship, and pianist Patricia Puckett '05. Both musicians are also recipients of AU's Music Scholarship.
