December 2005

As 2005 brought us challenge and change, it also opened the door for opportunity: opportunity for dialogue, debate, exchange, reflection, transparency, and openness.
We've received many ideas and solutions from alumni about moving forward to make our institution even stronger.

When the Alumni Board meets on February 10th, we'll review the communication and the conversations we've had with many of you. We will look at governance best practices from other
universities, and then we will craft potential solutions from the alumni perspective which we will present to the Board of Trustees. If you have any thoughts or ideas regarding governance or our role as alumni in AU's future, please e-mail us. We're open and eager to hear as many voices as possible.

The best of the new year to you.

Cheers,
Carey Earle,
SOC/BA '88
